It started with my wife's anniversary. I wanted something personal, something she'd actually keep wearing. I found a red string bracelet and gave it to her. She loved it, but I looked at it and thought: this could be so much better.

So I made one. Then a few more, for the women in our family. They wore them everywhere. Strangers stopped to ask where they got them.

That told me everything I needed to know.
